It is declared a world heritage site for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses. Other wild creatures of the park include tiger, panther, squirrel, large Indian civet, elephant, wild cat, hog deer and so on.

Manas National Park
The Manas National Park consists of an area of 2,837 sq. km. This national park is lies on the gentle slopes of the Himalayan foothills and is located on the north bank of River Brahmaputra. Manas national park is also a Biosphere Reserve, an Elephant Reserve, an Important Bird Area (IBA), and a World Heritage Site.
The wild creature of the park includes tiger, elephant, rhino, buffalo, gaur and nearly 500 species of birds. This nature paradise also offers white water rafting on the Manas River, trekking and elephant rides.
